OnStage dance competition has a strong emphasis on proper Dance Education, Dance Theatre Etiquette, Change Room Etiquette and Transparency. Their program voice, information empowerment. The directors Miss Rhoda took time at the beginning of each award ceremony to explain the point system to the children and provided the children with a well-informed award ceremony.
“I thought I would explain it here at OnStage. We will announce the average score for each performance. We have three judges, and they mark out of 100, we take those three marks and find the average and that is your score for a medal placement category. The medal placement category is indicated in the program,” said Miss Rhoda.
Miss Rhoda encourages dancers to keep track of their scores and to set goals to beat their own records. This can help track improvements and defeats, and help the dancer unravel which dance discipline they shine the most.
Judges at OnStage look for Proper technical execution of movements, strength, control, precision, confidence, presence, costuming and choreography.
