This stunning 5 dancer performance is sharp, clean and synchronized. The 5 dancers body structure is very similar increasing the visual appeal to the audience. The dance can at times feel a bit robotic lacking the emotions needed behind a powerful dance. Again, watching a video is always flatter and not transmitting the vibe to the audience as much as a live performance. The fabulous Molly Long choreographed this dance with her lifetime experience of living and breathing dance since the age of 3. Molly long knowns the importance of building strong independent women and is constantly working toward reinforcing the reputation of women that has been diminished as a culture. This is my ULTIMATE fav!! Even though the front pirouette is missed, and the middle dancer falls to one side, she keeps focus and confidence for the rest of the dance. The use of the stage and the staggered groups are very well timed and showcased. The dance is clean with no unnecessary distractions, keeping the audience attention on what matters, the DANCE!!! This Orange County Performing Arts Academy performance is lengthy but still very exhilarating. The performance incorporates multiple song breaks to ensure the audiences stayed awake! The dancers’ characteristics are well matched with the story line characters. The musical theater performance is made with such high-quality costumes and top-quality dance choreography it could as well be featured on Broadway. This large group junior hip hop performance energy is consistent throughout the performance with a strong empowering vibe. The girl’s synchronism is sharp and flawless, which I think brought their dance to the top of their hip-hop junior division. The costume is feminine and pushes an attitude of dominance and assertiveness. The dance is always on the move keeping the viewer entertained, if you look at one single dancer the dancer will go in every nook and cranny of the stage using the stage to its full potential. This mind blowing 47 million views showcases 7 junior jazz dancers ranging from age 8 to 12 years old. The performance is simple but executed with ease and confidence. This is what judges want to encourage. No one is stressed out or looks uncomfortable during the whole performance. The girls started nicely dispersed on the stage in their starting positions wearing a classic pink and black glassy two piece. The choreo by Pasqualetto was tailor to perfection making the dancer look competent at delivering each dance move. The energy was consistent trough out, showing its audience a healthy and happy choreography. Dance News Ottawa judges’ rule a full love-apple.
